Third Call for Proposals of “Sparkling Science 2.0” (OeAD) starts on 1 September 2026
In Austria, we can truly enjoy some great opportunities when it comes to Citizen Science! The Sparkling Science calls for proposals by the OeAD are definitely one of them — and the third edition is just around the corner!
On September 1, 2026, the third call for proposals of the research funding programme Sparkling Science 2.0 will officially open. Once again, the programme will support projects in which research and educational institutions work together on current scientific questions and research topics.
For the projects selected in previous calls, more than 110,000 students and Citizen Scientists were expected to participate in the projects and contribute to the research.
We would therefore like to draw our project partners' attention to this great opportunity and let you know that the OeAD submission platform will be open for project applications from September 1, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. until October 30, 2026, at 12:00 p.m.
