In the course of our submission to the current "EU Prize for Citizen Science", we have produced a new video as an introduction to the SPOTTERON Citizen Science platform. The clip showcases the core aspects of what the platform brings to Citizen Science projects across Europe and beyond. As an interactive toolkit, every Citizen Science App not only covers data collection of observations and feedback, but also integrates a full community suite, science communication features, data protection for participants, internationalization options and much more. Thanks to the SPOTTERON Project Ecosystem, every App can use those advanced features right for the start. By this collaborative approach, we made it possible to extend mobile Citizen Science to new horizons.
The platform's innovative modular concept enables each project to run advanced features in their Apps right from the start, independent of its size or initial budget. Over 60 Apps, project websites and Citizen Science Hubs are already running on SPOTTERON's technology, bringing European values and privacy ethics to Citizen Science worldwide. To ensure compatibility, security, and performance over the whole runtime, all Applications are always kept up-to-date. With strong ties in community building, user engagement and quality design, the platform sets a contemporary standard for interactive and immersive Citizen Science Apps.
