To foster ongoing observations on a single data point, together with the international Citizen Science project "CoastSnap", we've developed the Nearby-Spots feature - a brilliant little helper within the App, that scans the user's surroundings for any already existing Spots within walking distance that might need updating.
Depending on the App's custom settings, these Spots can be updated by the whole community. Instead of hundreds of people creating a new spot of the same particular tree in a park, the Citizen Scientists in the App can add their observations to an existing data point, with the apparent advantages.
