As Citizen Scientists ourselves, we love the idea and the spirit behind it: Raising public awareness of the diversity in scientific research and also enhancing public participation in scientific processes. So it comes as now surprise, that our projects 'Waldrapp', 'Forschen im Almtal' and 'Roadkill' were all present and getting both young people and adults interested. Our friends from citizen-science.at were also there and even had a big touchscreen with them, where everyone could search their database for Citizen Science projects from their fields of interest.
But that was by far not everything. We got to see many different scientific projects, ranging from robotics of different kinds to air pollution measuring boxes for Citizen Scientists to research for better sports bra support. There sure was something there for everyone! The many different research stands presented their work and patiently explained it for everyone on two levels. While robot building workshops took place in some rooms, the cafeteria was dedicated to Science Slams for teens and adults and everyone probably left the place having learned something new. We were really happy we could join, and don't want to stall you any longer, so here's a short video with some impressions:
