Interactive Science Communication

A range of innovative Citizen Science App features are available for all projects to foster Science Communication

A big part of involving the public in an interactive project is communication. Enabling interactive Science Communication, e-Learning, and keeping participants in the loop makes it possible not exclusively to focus on data collection but to create positive impacts and foster change.

On SPOTTERON, a range of tools are available to contact the whole user community and disseminate project news, outcomes, and exciting facts to all participants.

Getting the message out and involving the Community - Integrated Tools for Science Communication

Every project on the platform can use the available Interactive Science Communication components available through the SPOTTERON Project Ecosystem. With the toolkit, administrators can send community messages with push notifications to all Smartphones with their project Apps installed. These Push Messages can also include links to the project's website as read-more, which helps promote content to a project's user community and inform about new pages.
Additional tools include a custom dialog box for Newsletter subscriptions with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to confirm informed consent and the possibility to integrate information directly from the project's website into the App as glossary pages, background knowledge, or how-to's.
