SPOTTERON

To get a better overview of Citizen Science in Switzerland and to better connect Citizen Science project creators, the "Citizen Science Network Switzerland" was founded, from which and the website schweiz-forscht.ch was later established. Since 2015 the office of Citizen Science Switzerland supervises the "Citizen Science Network Switzerland" and the website schweiz-froscht.ch, meanwhile it is also a point of contact for other interested parties like the media, universities, or Citizen Scientists themselves.

Since 2014 the Austrian Citizen Science platform can be found online under the domain www.citizen-science.at. On the website about 30 institutions collectively present themselves and work together to connect Citizen Science actors in Austria and international to promote and the quality of Citizen Science and further develop the method. In 2015 they held a first annual Austrian Citizen Science Conference.

The Cumberland Wildlife Park is located in upper Austria near Grünau im Almtal. The Almsee lake and the Cumberland Wildlife Park is embedded between the steep rocks on the northern edge of the Totes Gebirge.
The Wildlife Park became famous due to Konrad Lorenz work there and is home to many different animal species on 60 hectares of land. Endangered species like wild equids can be found there. Long hiking trails lead through the park with it's 70 different animal species and approximately 500 animals in total.

I’m amazed by SPOTTERON's passion for CitizenScience, impressed by their energy and initiatives and grateful for what I’ve learned by collaborating with them on the Fjällkalendern app.

BRUSHTURKEYS is a citizen science project aiming to gather sightings of, and behavioural information on, the Australian Brush-turkey, a native species spreading into suburban areas of Australia. This project is coordinated by The University of Sydney, in collaboration with the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney and Taronga Conservation Society.

We have extended the information page about "Data handling" in the feature section of Citizen Science apps with more detailed descriptions and new sections about data storage, export, data migration and more..
