Offline Mode

Outdoor apps are often in use where web connectivity is low. All Citizen Science apps on the platform include an offline mode with map area download, local spot saving and a waiting queue for new observations, saved locally without an internet connection.

State Archive Baden-Württemberg

The national archives of Baden-Württemberg were established in 2005 and include all Baden-Württemberg state archives. It preserves the historical tradition of the state of Baden-Württemberg since 1952 and the culture of predecessor territories since the Middle Ages. As a provincial competence center, the Landesarchiv ensures that the archival tradition of Baden-Württemberg as part of the cultural heritage and culture of remembrance is safeguarded, preserved and made accessible to anyone interested.

Austrian Mycological Society

The Austrian Mycological Society (ÖMG), is the professional representation of mycologists in Austria. It represents the practical and scientific mycology and is open to all interested persons. For the interested mushroom aficionado lectures, excursions, professional exchange and various publications of the society library enable the extension of the knowledge about mushrooms.

Pilzfinder

Pilzfinder is the Web App of the mycology research society of the University of Vienna. In the browser-based project, participants can contribute mushroom observations from all across Europe and get feedback from the expert of the Austrian Mycology Society. By joining this Citizen Science project, users help with the science behind fungi and learn more about the fascinating world of mushrooms.

The platform version 2.7. is going to bring a complete overhaul of the ranking panel with advanced community leaderboards and more statistic tool for all Citizen Science apps on the SPOTTERON platform. 

 Projects can now hold friendly competitionst to reward active users as a thank you for their ongoing participation. Read more in our blog!
