By stepping over the ten-year mark, SPOTTERON extends its capabilities and introduces a Co-Use Program. For the European Citizen Science Association Conference 2026, our design team crafted a poster to bring insights of the new Co-Use Program and the respective Citizen Science Apps running on the Platform.

Six Citizen Science Apps Available in the Co-Use Program

Six Apps running on the SPOTTERON Platform are available for the Co-Use Program which covers themes like art and culture (ArtSpots App), biodiversity (NatureSpots App), marine ecosystems (COSEA), invasive species observations (IPM App), urban environments (CIVO App), and climate reporting (Fridays for Future App). Each App holds already an active Citizen Science community and diverse observations.

Building a Collaborative Citizen Science Community

Co-Use Program of Citizen Science Apps strengthens the sustainability of Citizen Science initiatives and builds new synergies. The Program is an operational and directly applicable solution that brings a feature rich digital toolkit for Citizen Science projects of diverse scale and themes to apply for their needs. The Co-Use partners can directly use the Apps to fulfill the project goals, get independent access to data of their country/region of activity, and can apply communication features like push notifications to reach their users in their countries.
